We took one morning to drive around the area, and went to explore a really nice little town called Dunster.

The Lake District is in North West England. And not in Wales (Carla) or Scotland (Aldie)… And thats where we were over Christmas. If you’re wondering why we look cold in some pictures, it’s purely because we were cold. Some things in life have such wonderfully simple explanations.

One hour later – we were there… And the sun came out. What fun.

Thank heavens we had hot chocolate.

Day Deux. We walked from the Arc de Triomphe, down the Champs Elysees and took the metro to meet Valerie and go meet some people at WIZZ. Through the Galleries Lafayette, down to the Louvre, we stumbled into our old friend, Lucy Lui at a Christian Dior Fashion show. She’s really short. And her bodyguard is really tall. From there we walked along the Seine and enjoyed some snails before heading up the Eiffel Tower (Or tour de oeuf as Carin likes to call it ). Its high. Serious. We almost didn’t go past the second level – its just that scary (for Carin – of course). Then we walked (again) past the Royal Palace, some more places of interest we didn’t know about and couldn’t pronounce, up the Champs Elysees (Shian Zilly Zay – really), past a bunch of crazy concept cars, and ended where we started – at the Arc de Triomphe, and ultimately the bed.

Day Three. Went to Valeries office (in Belville – like the triplets – yeah?) in the morning, followed by a visit to the (closed on Tuesdays) Pompidou Centre, and ended up drinking the craziest hot chocolate. With spoons. Being too sweet to think straight, we had some chocolate crossoints, and walked through the laines near St Pauls station. When we couldn’t walk anymore, we hopped (got) on a bus and did some sightseeing (sleeping) from there. After another meeting, we met Valerie at the Notre Dame and went for a kir and some French crooning at a bar in St Germain. After gorging ourselves on a cheesy fondue, we made our way back to the Notre Dame, were we were planning a romantic midnight moon-gaze, but ended up freezing and getting lost trying to get home. It was romantic though. Lost, and romantic. And cold. All in a days work for our young adventurers. Enough with the words! Here’s some pictures.

We lost Carin’s nose. But she found it again later. We were so relieved.

So that was fun. And it only took like a whole day to sort out the pictures to upload. This blog thing might be a bit more work than we initially thought. So look at it thoroughly! And again! We didn’t put these pictures here for our health you know…
